Which one should be new logo for Notes Plus?

THE VERDICT:

Thank you very much for your comments !!! This logo will be on version 2.2

——-

UPDATE: For more than a month of gathering feedbacks, I think I know exactly what the new logo should be:

  • More polished and professional
  • 3D touch – don’t use the Apple shine effect
  • Get rid of the word “Notes”, it’s irrelevant
  • Brighter color, black looks depressing and too serious

This is what my graphics designer came up with and probably what I will use starting next version:

Let me know what you think.

I am trying to have a new logo for Notes Plus (many complained that the current logo is just ugly). Please let me know what you think.

Oh I really hope you don’t change your app logo. I’ve come to really love it. It’s so familiar and recognizable. I don’t know who told you that it was ugly, but I very much beg to differ. I think it looks quite classy and elegant.

Steve, I think that was a while ago already… I don’t think Viet has plans of rechanging the app logo anymore. Except that he changed it a little bit for this version since he also temporarily took out the brown leather theme inside the app.
      So, don’t worry! :)

      Hi Antonio,

To reduce slowness, it helps to frequently empty the trash and archive rarely-used notes by exporting them to PDFs and deleting them in Notes Plus. Also, exit all other unused apps from the background to give Notes Plus a little more space. Sorry about the inconvenience. Version 3.0 will be released soon and will get rid of this issue of performance degrading over time because it will replace the single data file with flat files. For more info, check out v3 page: http://notesplusapp.com/version/version-3/.

      Kind regards,
      Toan

    LOVE the ap! Great work!

I need PDF annotation. Is it in your plans?
Will Notes Plus be ipen compatible?

    Ideas:
    * bookshelf view of notebooks
    * multi-page / thumbnail view to more easily select a specific page
    * in app feedback

    THANKS!!

      Hi Gabriel,

Thanks for the compliment. Version 3.0 will have PDF annotation. As regards your ideas:

      * bookshelf view: we implemented this for a while and bounced it off a few people, who found it too disruptive. So we decided to switch back to the traditional view in v3.0 until something better comes along.
      * multi-page view: this is similar to the bookshelf view in a way. We’ll see.
      * in-app feedback: we’ve had this idea for quite some time. Let’s see how things will turn out. Thanks for reminding us.

      Kind regards,
      Toan

No 2, remove the rubber band, move notes + to the top, increase the font & add the silver pen of the old logo…..?..

    Hi,
this is off the subject but I have a frustrating problem with the close up box that I can’t solve!

When I press the close up button, I get a very skinny box with a dotted line-not a shadowed box that I see my writing in. At the bottom is a bar that says “adjust” and “done” when I press it…..can’t wait to use this function but can’t get it to work.

    Can you help me please!!!????

      Hi Tom,

To resize the closeup box vertically, tap the Adjust button and drag the UP or DOWN arrow. If you still can’t do that, please reset the app to its manufacturer settings (see the FAQ: http://notesplusapp.com/support/frequently-asked-questions to know how). You won’t lose your notes by doing this.

      Kind regards,
      Toan

May I recommend you to accommodate those who write right to left? Hebrew, Arabic
It should be a fairly easy matter and would make a huge difference when using the close up writing tool.
    Thank you.

      Hi Professologue,

This feature has been requested by many users. The good thing is we’ll support the ability to write from right to left in version 3. I hope you’re happy with this addition.

      Cheers!

This is a very neat app. I am very impressed and I have been using it daily since the past two months or so. I have a couple of suggestions for the developer to consider which will make it even better especially for engineers like me who are so used to customized notepads. By that I mean, being able to customize a template with a header and footer that can accommodate a logo and some text along with page number when exported. I know that the page number feature is now there on the exported pages as an option which is great. If you want more information about what engineering notepads look like, shoot me an email and I can scan a few examples and send to you. This feature will greatly appeal to engineers. Thanks.

      Hi G,

Thanks for your kind words and suggestion. In version 3, we’ll support custom templates so you can have your engineer notepad as a background for taking notes. Will this serve your purpose?

      Kind regards,
      Toan

I am am very happy with the Notes Plus as I have been using for about 4 month now.

The present Logo is very prof and as I looked for an apps 4 month ago, I stopped because of the logo-look and after reading the description I baught this very useful app.

My suggestion is: keep the present logo.

    Best regards
